Aliya Lark

“Lark’s ability to blend intimacy, emotion, and cinematic depth, cements her place as a compelling voice in contemporary piano music.”
- Sinusoidal Music
Aliya Lark is a London-based pianist and composer whose intimate, atmospheric sound sits between contemporary classical and ambient minimalism. In 2026, she begins a new chapter with her signing to neo-classical record label The Way Beyond. Her first signed release ‘Fleeting Moments’ introduces Aliya’s refined, emotionally nuanced approach to piano: hypnotic repeated motifs, subtle ambient textures and a gentle sense of suspended time. This double-sided single quickly gained recognition with Side A earning the #3 spot on Apple Music’s Classical Edge playlist. Her work has also been featured on BBC Radio 3, included on a major Piano Day compilation by Spanish label AD21 Music, and she composed the original score for the stage production Diaries of War. Alongside her recorded output, Aliya is developing her live presence, with upcoming shows in London and Berlin. Prior to signing with The Way Beyond, Aliya released the six-track EP Gravity of the Ocean, an instrumental collection blending contemporary piano, violin, ambient textures and field recordings. Exploring themes of distance, memory and quiet resilience, the EP moved between structured minimalism and atmospheric improvisation, inviting close listening and personal interpretation. Not quite classical and never purely ambient, Aliya Lark’s music is defined by restraint, emotional clarity and space. With her debut release on The Way Beyond, she continues to shape a distinctive voice in instrumental storytelling — one that offers listeners calm, reflection and quiet intensity in equal measure. “Mesmerizing and incredibly calming atmosphere of this piano beauty engage deeply within first notes.” NagaMag “a beautifully restrained, emotionally textured listening experience” “For listeners of Nils Frahm, Ólafur Arnalds, or Hauschka” “not just music to hear, but music to inhabit.” Tunitemusic
